Leadership Tennessee, a program that connects a network of diverse leaders and engaged citizens to foster collaborative, non-partisan dialogue on issues of state importance, is celebrating its five-year anniversary by launching “Volunteer State of Mind” – an initiative that spotlights Tennesseans’ propensity to selflessly serve and volunteer.

Starting on March 1, 2018 and continuing through July 31, 2018, the initiative invites individuals, businesses, educational institutions, and government and nonprofit organizations statewide to go online and register their community service or volunteer efforts. Existing projects already planned or underway, as well as new ones not yet completed, are eligible and can be registered.

Thank you for your willingness to serve! We look forward to seeing all the ways Leadership Tennessee Members and fellow Tennesseans work together for positive change in communities across this great state.

Project coordinators will receive additional information after registering, including instructions for submitting photos and videos of their Volunteer State of Mind Projects and events. All eligible submissions will be highlighted on the Five Year Anniversary Celebration website and via Leadership Tennessee social media outlets during the Volunteer State of Mind initiative from March 1, 2018 to July 31, 2018.

Following the July 31, 2018 deadline, three service projects – one from each of the grand divisions – will be randomly chosen to receive a $1,000 grant sponsored by the Eastman Foundation, which will be designed to fund future community volunteer partnership projects or initiatives.
